This rug is about 60 years old. The dimensions are 9’6 x 6’9.
This is a one of a kind, Talsint, handwoven rug in beautiful vintage shape. This rug is insanely gorgeous and is super soft and plush. It has the classic fish bone pattern typical of this region. The colors are cream, purple, and green with pops of orange. These Rugs are made by Berber women in the Atlas Mountains using fabric scraps dyed with vegetable dye. There is so much love that goes into making these rugs and it is hard to describe how much beauty these rugs will bring into your home. Rug making is an expression of art and depicts a life story of the women making them which is passed down generations to their daughters as a rite of passage.
This rug has a few repairs along the edge but are not very noticeable. Due to the handmade nature of this rug there may be some discoloration, irregularities, and may be slightly worn. They are all in great, vintage condition and have been carefully hand selected.
