Austrian Folk Art Painted Antique Pine Bedframe (twin Size)
Antique pine bedframe (Twin size) - painted in traditional Austrian folk art
This was my great grandmother's (maybe even great great grandmother's) pine bedframe (1800's). We brought it over from Germany and at a later time had Austrian artist, Uli Kuess, renowned for her traditional folk art painting, paint the frame. Uli immigrated from Austria, first to San Antonio, then came to Austin, and then moved on to The Woodlands to paint her beautiful art inside estate homes (she also painted the inside of the Paramount Theater while in Austin).
The bed has been extended (can see insert in one photo). Very sturdy bedframe.
I never had children so it's time to pass it on to someone who will love it as much as we have in our lives.
The boards shown in one photo were just cut to size to act as the platform - nothing fancy, but happy to include those, if interested. We used two futon mattresses on it.
The quilt, pillows, doll and mattresses are not included.
