Vintage Octagonal Ruby Goblets by Independence Glass Co (1 Set of 7 Pieces)
Made in the USA circa 1960s, no longer available. The set includes 2 water and 5 wine goblets. Originally inspired by Art Deco, the underside of the goblet flows into ribbed effects and then to stem. The goblet is heavy & sturdy with a solid octagonal base. A wonderful colour accent for the holidays.
Pre-owned, good condition, consistent with age & use. The water goblets have no chips or cracks. The wine goblets on 2 separate ones have a chip on the base & one has a small chip/crack on the top edge. There's some slag in the glass, a sign of the age. Small air bubbles in some of the goblets and is due to the manufacturing process. There's one 1 small dark spot on the bottom of the base, found within the glass of larger water goblet. The colour depth varies throughout, lighter at top and darker at the bottom. A natural element of these goblets and is not a defect. Please see photos for details.
